There are over 450 members of 4M globally. The consortium is directed by Prof Gemma Sharp, Luana De Giorgio, and assisted by Dr Sampurna Kundu. The 4M PhD Network is led by Kami Abdullayev.
Prof Gemma Sharp

Prof Gemma Sharp is the founder and lead of the Menarche, Menstruation, Menopause and Mental Health (4M) Consortium. She is a Professor of Epidemiology in the School of Psychology at the University of Exeter, her work focuses on women’s mental health, reproductive health, and early life influences on health.
Luana De Giorgio

Luana helps run the Menarche, Menstruation, Menopause and Mental Health (4M) Consortium by assisting with communications, engagement and much much more. She is a women’s health researcher focused on lifestyle behaviours in women with endometriosis.
Dr Sampurna Kundu

Dr Sampurna Kundu helps in managing activities for Menarche, Menstruation, Menopause and Mental Health (4M) Consortium. She is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Epidemiology at the School of Psychology, University of Exeter. She has worked on reproductive health and population aging. Her current research focus is on the intersections of menstrual, menopausal and mental health.
Kami Abdullayev

Kami Abdullayev is the lead of the PhD network within 4M which supports PhD students working in menstrual health research across the world. She is a PhD student on the Medical Research Council funded Doctoral Training Programme based at University College London, UK. Her background is in Health Psychology and her work focuses on applying knowledge from the health psychology discipline to menstrual health experiences to improve the wellbeing and quality of life of people who menstruate.
